Okay so it is true the hills are alive with the sound of music and nature. While there, I saw more rain than anything else. In this section you will see my trip to the ice caves, the sound of music tour, and pictures from the fortress and of the fortress. Beautiful area but expensive.....
In August the Swedes eat Cray fish which taste similar to shrimp, but require a lot of work for a small amount of food. These parties usually include eating, drinking and singing. Unfortunately the Swedes didnt have any songs to sing unless we reciprocated, so I tried to make some up on the spot. Yeah it was pretty bad, and we all got trashed. It was a fun night.... Krister got very drunk this night and was part of the entertainment...
Yes I have random pictures from different nights of partying... It is fun to see the different nights. I like the one of us partying with our teachers for their last nights as instructors after our exams.
There are also the pictures of a group of us who went to Copenhagen to celebrate our last weekend in Sweden. We all piled into a room and went clubbing all night long. We got warmed up to party in the airport as we waited for Jen's friend Ashley to arrive.
Well it was my last day in Stockholm, I was tired from staying up all night and still quite drunk too. So I thought what the hey, lets go do something educational. So i went to the City Hall, one of the reasons why is it has some of the most amazing rooms, and people kept showing them to me on the postcards you can buy.... So I decided, I spent enough money on alcohol I think my parents would appreciate if I spent some money on more education..... It was also a nice way to keep myself awake till I had to get on the bus by 1pm that day.....
On the way to Stockholm we stopped in Vaxjo (actually spelled with two dots above the a and o, but the web page was freaking out) to look at the immigrant museum, which was nice to see why the midwest has their funky accents. The town was really nice and the lake was beautiful to eat by, but I could have done with out the Mosquitos....
So we took a bus up to Stockholm which took about 8-9 hours. On the way there we stopped twice once at the Immigrant Museum, which was okay but the town was much more amazing but that is another set of pictures. There was also the "smoking breaks" as I called them for the people who needed to get their fix... I went wandering while people smoked and took some pictures. Sweden is amazingly green and full of some great sites. I also combined those pictures I took with all the goofy action of college kids being stuck on a bus for that legnth of time, like trying to fit the smaller people into the overhead storage containers on the bus....
